Joggobot, The Flying Robot, and Fun Jogging Buddy

A college student from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) was awarded as part of robot creator team named Joggobot. This robot can flying in front of someone who is jogging or running, and encouraged him to gain fitness.

Reported by SMH, Sunday (June, 6 2012), is Chad Toprak, 22-year-old man said he would prefer Joggobot as a personal trainer and jogging buddies. He also preferred to sweat (jogging) with a robot who is capable of flying.

Toprak explains, this robot match for all types of Joggers. This robot has several modes such as co modemoving in harmony with speed of runner and coach mode who claimed to be more challenging.

Idea of ​​creating this robot came last October at Bustling Exertion Games Lab in RMIT. A group of game developers, including project leader Eberhard Grather, Florian Mueller, Wouter Walmink and Chad Toprak decided to create a robot with physical activity to improve experience of jogging.

Currently ths robot is still in the process of development. Expected to be mass-produced next few years. Recently Joggobot has been packed into a box for shipment to United States. This robot will be displayed and presented at Computer-Human Interaction conference in Austin, Texas.
