Android ever Caused Google Loss in 2010

Android mobile operating system which is now gain success was ever caused big losses for Google. Losses happened in every quarter during 2010.

This was revealed in court between Oracle and Google in the United States, Thursday (May, 3 2012). In a hearing, U.S. District Judge William Alsup read a piece of data on Android financial statement given by Google. "Android causing big losses during the year," Alsup said aloud.

However, Alsup did not say the sure amount of the loss. Google also didn't to reveal Android financial information. That search engine company just said, Android operating system launched in 2007 and the first Android smartphone started shipping in 2008.

In the lawsuit Oracle to Google, which has been ongoing since August 2010, Oracle accused Android software violates Java computer programming language patents. Since acquisition of Sun Microsystems, Oracle is now the legal owner of the Java patent.

However, Google believes mobile device manufacturer and software developers of Android have the right to use Java technology. Google says, Sun Microsystems, before purchased by Oracle, had declared that Java will be open source. As such, any software developer can use it and release some source code.
