Google Want Users "Forget" Password

Google is looking for ways to tighten the log-in process on the Internet that claimed to be more secure and easier in the future. Cooperation with the security company, Yubico, Google is developing hardware as an authenticity password tool.

In a scientific journal IEEE Privacy and Security Magazine written by Security Vice President of Google Eric Grosse and Programmer Mayank Upadhyay, Google views the tool can improve the authenticity of online security. Simply, it can be called as "password lock" that serves to unlock the password.

Its function is same as token tool in banking industry. However, Google and Yubico want to make it simple and continue to promote safety.

With this hardware as a authenticity tool, users are expected to not rely completely on passwords must be typed or input, especially for the secret data and personal on the internet.

Yubico and Google are currently running a pilot program with the authenticity USB card form tool called Yubikey. The tool is already set to connect with a user account. If the user wants to log-in to a service website, then he should plug the USB into a computer so that authenticity running.

However, the security tool in the form of small USB is feared because some parties more easily lost or left behind somewhere.

Another solution offered by Google is to create a chip that is implanted in the smartphone. Chip using short-range wireless networking technology, it could be called Near Field Communication (NFC). Later, the phone must be brought closer to the computer if the user wants to log-in to the web service.
