Olympus officially launched their latest powerful compact camera a few days after a leaked specs on the internet. The camera was named TG-1. This new camera is equipped with f/2.0 wide angle lens that is designed to work well in low light underwater. A high-sensitivity CMOS sensor with 12 million pixel sharpness planted behind the camera.

In addition, this image sensor combined with an image processor TruePic VI. Both of two hardware is claimed Olympus makes TG-1 is capable taking photos in a place where previously unreachable by other cameras.
TG-1 equipped with waterproof capability up to depths of 12 meters, shockproof from a height up to 2 meters, hold frozen up to minus 10 degrees and pressures up to 100kg. This ability is improved resistance rather than previous products.
There is also Olympus Intelligence, High Sensitivity and Speed (IHS), GPS and electronic compass. At the rear of camera there is an anti-reflective OLED screen measures 3 inches that is designed to give a better view in bright sunlight.
Olympus TG-1 will be priced at 359.99 pounds (about US$580) and will be available starting in June. So reported TechRadar on Tuesday (May 8, 2012).
