After waiting long enough, Samsung finally announced the most highly anticipated Android phone this year at an event in London May 3. Galaxy SIII is the third generation from in the ranks of popular smartphone made by Samsung.
"Samsung Galaxy SIII is the best smartphone in the world today," claimed President of Samsung Mobile Division, JK Shin, when introducing that smartphone in London, England, Thursday (05/03/2012) local time. Shin said, this phone will be launched in 145 countries of the world, through the program bundling with 296 operators.
"We will begin marketing the best smartphone in the world at the end of May, from Europe, followed by Asia, Middle East, Latin America, and Africa," he said.
As reported previously, this smartphone is powered by Samsung Exynos Quad Core processor 1.4 GHz. Exynos 4 has double processing power than Exynos 4 Dual which used in the previous Galaxy phones and consumes 20 percent less power. Carrying the latest operating system Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich and Super AMOLED touch screen 4.8-inch HD (1280x720), Galaxy S III comes with 8 megapixels rear camera and 1.9 megapixels in the front.
This smartphone is bit thicker (8.6 mm) and heavier (133 grams) when compared with Galaxy SII. But Galaxy SII more powerful with a capacity of 2100mAh battery and carrying 4G LTE connectivity and has 1 GB of RAM.
